What is PSIMATRIX.ai
PSIMATRIX.ai is a nonprofit that helps artists, artisans, vendors, and venues with the digital and operational work that keeps you off the craft — building a website, fielding booking inquiries, sending a newsletter, registering a copyright, finding the next festival to apply to. Free to use. Funded by donations.
Who it’s for
If you’re a maker, performer, booth operator, or venue organizer in the Renaissance Faire community — or in the broader artistic community working in similar ways — you’re who we built this for. You don’t need to be tech-savvy. You don’t need to know what AI is. You don’t need to set anything up yourself. We do that part.
What you get
Concrete services, all free to the people we serve:
- A booking-conversation tool that talks to potential clients in your voice. When someone visits your site to ask about hiring you (or commissioning you, or booking your booth), an AI assistant we built does the back-and-forth that a manager or booking agent would normally do. It asks the questions you’d ask, screens out the people who don’t fit, and emails you a clean summary of the serious leads. You read it, you say yes or no.
- A website, if you don’t have one or yours is broken. We build it. We host it. We maintain it. You don’t pay for hosting or domain renewals out of pocket past the basics — we cover those out of donations when we can.
- Mailing lists, contact forms, and the operational plumbing. The boring stuff that quietly eats your time. We set it up so it works.
- Copyright registration for visual work. If you make art, we file your U.S. Copyright Office paperwork using a tool we built called PsiCopywriter. AI-aware, so the disclosures are correct.
- Festival research and outreach lists. We’ve already mapped 268 US festivals (Renaissance, Viking, Pirate, historical-reenactment). We can pull a custom list for your travel range or your audition window.
- Donation and tip-handling for your own audience. If your fans want to tip you directly, we can set that up too — the money goes to you, not us.
How to start
- Tell us about yourself. Open the chat at /get-help/ and answer the three questions: name, email, what you’re trying to figure out or fix. A real person reads every one and gets back to you within a day.
- We have a real conversation. About 60-90 minutes, on a phone or video call (your pick). We learn what you do, who your audience is, what you charge, what you say yes to, what you say no to. We write that down.
- We build the gear. The website goes up, the booking-agent gets configured to sound like you, the mailing list moves to a working setup. Takes a few days. We send you each piece to review before it goes live.
- You go back to your craft. We send you qualified booking leads in your inbox. Your website works. Your inquiries get answered. You spend your time making the thing you make.
What it costs
Free. To you. We don’t charge artists, artisans, vendors, or venues for the platform or the labor we put into your setup. We don’t take a percentage of your sales or bookings. The platform is funded by donations — from people who got helped, from fans of the work we serve, from the broader community that values it.
If a third-party service has a hard cost we can’t cover (a domain renewal that’s beyond our reserve, a Copyright Office filing fee, etc.), we tell you up front before we start.
